Every few weeks we will showcase a landscape image that we feel tells a story, it may be something recent or dug out of the archives. We also invite you leave your comments if you wish.
I have found a genuine pursuit in being present at a moment in nature where a combination factors can bring about the extraordinary, maybe what we idealise to see in a painting. To then be able to ‘bottle’ this experience through the medium of photography is a privilege and is my devotion.
The absence of colour in an image is the classic paradox of less is more. Not all images work as monochrome, but those that do invite the viewer to almost interact with the image as the lack colour asks more of ones personal perception and meaning of it
Images are regularly updated, and new categories will appear as I photograph new locations.
Our workshop programme is designed above all to help participants enjoy and improve their landscape photography.
Our close up photography is a revelation in the art and abstraction of worlds within worlds. Delving into the patterns, textures, and symmetry of this easily overlooked dimension of nature that is always present.
A powerful and inspirational photographic documentary of your unforgettable day, wrapped our choice of luxurious albums and magical, breathtaking DVD slideshows…
From a very young age, Riccardo always remembers being a very visual person. While everyone else wanted to be an astronaut or policeman, he had a strange wish to become a TV camera man. Intrigued by the process of capture, as much the captured. Initially this manifested itself through the craft of painting and illustration, and a growing and evolving fascination with the play of light on familiar things and maybe more so, Its emotional responses.
Riccardo feels a connection with the natural world, reaching far beyond just an interest. The merging of this, with his new found realization of the ability of film to capture such light and detail, was the very inevitable progression to landscape photography.
‘I was and still am, amazed by how natures infinite beauty can provide opportunity for such artful capture, feeling an almost greater buzz when allowing nature to provide for you, as opposed to the artists own personal interpretation.
Having said that, the deeper I have explored photography, the less I can distinguish between the creative process of painting with a brush, or one with light’.
It’s the beauty and romance in all of us, that Riccardo Seeks to translate back to the viewer, and himself. Something that maybe rises above the mundane, sending out both environmental and spiritual messages. Only If Riccardo’s imagery achieves this, does he see it as a success.
Riccardo Beghini lives in Corntown, Vale of Glamorgan , Wales, United Kingdom.
“I have been looking for a piece of art for some time now and all I can say is that Riccardo’s work is simply stunning. I am delighted to have found what I have been looking for on my doorstep not only in the beautiful locations of the photography but the artist who lives in my backyard. I have feeling Riccardo will have a long and successful career. My only decision now is – which one?” – Sue Saines
“Your work is truly inspirational. I can only dream that my photos will be half as good.” – Melissa
“Printouts I received are perfect, gorgeous! Probably some of the best I’ve received so far and I’m not making this up.” – EO Photos
“Very impressed with your web site and really love your work!” – DIANE E STRONG
“I have once again been viewing images on your website and continue to be amazed by the pulchritude within your photography. There is most certainly a spiritual transcendency in many of your images that takes you deeply but pleasurably into the unknown. The ability to record the power of nature, particularly that of the intangible, such as light and the luminosity that it creates, is most certainly a natural gift.” ”I am more convinced than ever that you are a naturally gifted photographer, possessing all of the passion, emotion, spirit and enthusiasm that is so evident in your work. No different to the naturally gifted sportsman, be it formula one drivers, top class athletes, footballers etc. Of course, they have to work hard to perfect their gifted abilities, in the same way that you have perfected your own gifted ability.” ”You are the inspiration to cultivate my photography skills from that of a manufactured photographer to one of a more natural kind. It will be a huge challenge if that can be achieved.” – Les Loosemore
“Riccardo, Jo, my partner is an artist. She is AMAZED by your work, as we both are. It is beautiful beyond belief. I wish you all the success in the world with your photographic work. So glad I came across your site. Will bookmark it and drop in on it from time to time.” – Sue Dyer

Why Choose Us – Wedding Photography?
Great images always speak for themselves, although sometimes it is also beneficial to talk about them aswell. This is especially the case when it comes to a service such as wedding photography. If you are hiring a professional photographer to capture a day so special as your wedding, you will want to know that they can deliver something equally special in photographic terms, and how and why they claim they can achieve that.
Our experience and reputation for producing inspiring, evocative landscape photography, can bring a very unique flavour to your wedding.
Our images are conceived with an eye and feel for those transient, magic moments when light and subject is combined in such a way, that brings an extra dimension and meaning to the art of photography. Our reason and purpose to photograph anything comes from a strong desire to evoke something beyond a simple description of scene. It is our passion and our business to bring this vision and philosophy to your wedding. This means we are constantly seeking out these fleeting opportunities as second nature, to maximize the story and impact of how we capture your special day.
What am I paying for?
A photographers style will be like a chefs signature dish, and is undoubtedly a fundamental part to governing your decision. Only you can be convinced if you like something. Some people very much know what they want, and some only know it when they see it. This is the personal element of the photographer where you will want to feel you see a sensitivity and a creative empathy to the subject, this is where the images should speak for themselves.
It is insightful to understand the quality of the raw products such as the type of inks and paper along with the album they are presented and stored in.
Cheaper quality inks and paper do not possess the archival qualities that are designed to last a life time. Put simply, they will fade over time and loose their freshness and vitality. Curiously, although sunlight is a massive factor in contributing to image fade, we might assume that images protected in an album will not suffer this. On the contrary, even more so, are cheaper glues that are used in the construction of drawers, cupboards, and less quality albums, which are the biggest contaminator to image fade.
We know this is not an option for our clients, where only the best inks, papers, and albums combine to make this not an issue. The very best photographic equipment, along with good technique will mean that there are no technical limitations or restrictions to the quality of your photography.
We are passionate about prints as opposed to simply images on a screen. This is reflected in our commitment to ‘in house’ printing, where we are very keen not to pass this aspect of photography to a third party. Please refer to the, ‘print info’ option in the menu of this website, for more details and information.
How will the day go from a photography point of view?
Our presence is intentionally subtle and discreet, a relationship that has proven to gain confidence and ease, translating to a freshness and integrity to the subject. Our emphasis is on observation rather than participation. Our emphasis of your day is essentially split into two main objectives.
A wedding is a very powerful and emotional day, you are all looking your best and many will be reuniting for the first time in a long time, while many for the first time ever. There is a mix of pressure and release, nerves and pure joy. These real moments, by their very nature, come about when you are not under the influence of the camera and being ordered around. Your photographer needs to not only have a keen eye for these moments, but know how to use them when they happen.
We are more than aware of how important this cocktail of scenarios must be allowed to play themselves out as they will, these are the parts of the day where the reportage style of photography is such a priceless value to your album. We spend our time being tuned into this, rather than trying to direct it. This further promotes the day to flow as it wants to, and when combined with an eye for mood and drama, allows us to flatter and inspire you in different and surprising ways.
This is the part of your photographic experience where we like to spend with the couple alone, in and around the location. This will be agreed prior to the day and will have been planned and preconceived by ourselves. From your point of view this is not that different to the reportage in that you will feel very relaxed and natural, but we will know in advance how we can utilize this in the context of light, architecture, landscape and intimacy. Depending on your emphasis, this can take as much time as you want, but we normally ask a minimum of 45mins stretching to 1.5hrs depending on weather, location and your preference. Any other points that may be specific to your venue and requirements, will always be discussed and agreed beforehand usually by another meeting or what is convenient to you, this will likely include speaking to the best man.
